Greys

'Repulsion' (7-inch stream)

BY Alex HudsonPublished Oct 27, 2015

Following last year's If Anything, Toronto post-punks Greys are back with a new 7-inch. The three-song Repulsion officially comes out on Friday (October 30), and it can be streamed in full right now.

We've already heard two-thirds of this short release, as Greys have previously shared the angular, hard-charging "The Voyeur" and the ominously lumbering alt-rocker "I'd Hate to Be an Actor." Rounding out the set is "Nothing Means Anything," a song that puts a spiky post-punk spin on Wavves' hook-filled nihilism and includes a surprisingly sweetly-crooned chorus. These songs were recorded at Montreal's Hotel2Tango studio with esteemed producer Howard Bilerman.
