As previously reported, the Great Sabatini's upcoming Dog Years LP promises to crush, kill and destroy with its "corrosive tones," but a new preview for the set's melodic post-metal tune "Reach" unveils some tenderness inside the aggressive arrangement.
Though pummelled, the slow-mo pace of the track is packaged with spacious and sorrowful-sounding, speaker-cracking guitar riffs. Adding to the melancholy are just as fuzzed-out vocal harmonies, which hit at the heart as a series of passionate, tuneful howls. It should be noted that the track hits mid-album, so this could just be refresher after some serious noise rock damage in the front end of the LP.
You'll have to wait until Solar Flare Records drops Dog Years on June 2 to find out.
As previously reported, the Great Sabatini have a number of tour dates coming up in support of the LP, and you can find the show schedule in full over here.
