Some of us here in the Exclaim! office have been questioning the Go! Team and their ability to pull off another fantabulous album. Were they too overblown? Will the fact that they are now a band and not a one-man-sampling operation change the dynamics of the music? Will Ninja's rapping get in the way of all of the fun??? Well, "Grip Like A Vice" shows they haven't messed with the formula that got them onto a Honda Civic ad (that better be a hybrid!). Trading in their sample-happy core for a full-on band effort, the Team return with a highly anticipated sneak peak showing theyve honed their live sound for studio purposes. Yes, the playground spirit is still alive, the cheerleading urges are still felt, and thankfully Ninja's overwhelming mic skills sound just like a sample. Its time to get excited again!
