Get the Latest from the Horrible Crowes, William Shatner, Modeselektor and More in Our Click Hear Roundup
Published Sep 12, 2011Summer may be grinding to its official end but it doesn't mean that there's any shortage of new music to spark your interest. Head over to Exclaim.ca's Click Hear section to check out what's new. Here are just some of the highlights.
For Gaslight Anthem fans, frontman Brian Fallon's new project the Horrible Crowes have released their first album Elsie. You can stream the entire album of new, mellower material from Fallon right now at Exclaim.ca. The Vancouver girls in the Pack A.D. have returned with their fourth LP Unpersons, which is also available for streaming this week to give you a dose of gritty rock'n'roll.
Next up are a couple new tracks from German electronic duo Modeselektor. Their new album Monkeytown drops October 4, and we got to hear two songs from the LP, both featuring Radiohead's Thom Yorke. Check out "Shipwreck" and "This" over in the Click Hear section.
With William Shatner's interesting new album Seeking Major Tom on the way, you can get an idea of what to expect by listening to his version of Black Sabbath's "Iron Man," featuring Zakk Wylde on the axe. And known largely for their propensity towards disgusting onstage antics (i.e., puking and pissing during shows), the Black Lips' new video for "Family Tree" would be considered shocking if it was coming from anybody else. Watch the NSFW clip, but be warned, you're gonna see some nudity and sacrilegious imagery -- and a lot of blood.
Finally, the New Pornographers have released another video from last year's Together. Take a look at the space-inspired music video for their latest single "Up in the Dark."
