Gardening, Not Architecture, a one-person operation consisting of Sarah Saturday, performed her set fresh from a festival conference panel on her EIY (Earn It Yourself, a retake on the famous DIY) philosophy. It was early on Saturday evening but festival headquarters at the Citadel Hotel were bustling, so her set of synth-driven power pop, complete with laptop backing tracks, live bass and handmade LED lights, well attended. It was well received, too, as lots of people took the time to approach and chat with the personable, well-spoken everywoman afterwards, and the positive attitude that informs her work was a welcome presence.
