Frank Turner Covers the Weakerthans, Frightened Rabbit for 'Polaroid Picture' EP

Punk-gone-folkie Frank Turner will promote his 2013 LP Tape Deck Heart some more this year via the release of a new EP, packaging the album's "Polaroid Picture" with a couple of covers songs.

The Polaroid Picture EP arrives February 3, kicking off with the title track and capping things with previously unreleased number "Sweet Albion Blues." Also included on the five-song set are covers of Scottish outfits Frightened Rabbit's "The Modern Leper" and Biffy Clyro's "Who's Got a Match," as well as an acoustic run-through of the Weakerthans' Reconstruction Site song "Plea from a Cat Named Virtue." That particular cover had previously been issued on the Skatepunk for Southbank, though it's unclear at present if the EP version is the same recording.

Frank Turner has yet to announce the proper follow-up to Tape Deck Heart, though he has unveiled plans for a UK tour and will appear at Coachella in April. You can see the international show schedule over here.
