The original version of Foals' recent single, "My Number," was a bubbly pseudo-tropical pop number, and now Hot Chip have offered up a remix that emphasizes the song's danceable qualities.
The remix strips away the guitars, replacing them with '80s-esque synths. It also adds a little extra rhythmic urgency to the backbeat. Despite these changes, it remains true to the fun spirit of the original and keeps the melodies in tact.
"My Number" comes from Holy Fire, which came out this month through Warner Bros. Records.
This remix debuted on Zane Lowe's radio show on BBC 1 [via Details of My Life/Pretty Much Amazing].
