During a busy month of October, many of our most-loved bands and solo artists came to our Toronto neighbourhood and filmed some exclusive interviews and live performances for our ever-busy Exclaim! TV section, offering up old favourites and previewing new work. Here are just a few of the recent video highlights.
First off, we have a new video featuring Chris Cresswell from the Flatliners (pictured), strumming out "Meanwhile in Hell" from 2007's The Great Awake. If you like this live acoustic performance -- live from the Cardinal Skate Co. -- check out the Flatliners' second exclusive performance of the Cavalcade track "Monumental."
Also posted this week is a live performance by the West Coast's Yukon Blonde. From Saving Gigi Cafe, the '70s-inspired band played a harmonizing "Water" off their recently released Fire//Water EP, for which they are currently touring behind.
Earlier this month, we also dropped a bunch of videos by more awesome Canadian artists. Hey Rosetta! hung out in the Exclaim! backyard to play their orchestral tracks "Seventeen" and "Welcome" from their most recent Polaris Music Prize shortlisted album, Seeds.
The Paint Movement took a break from their ongoing tour in support of their debut album to jam out "Caught in the Act" and "Skip to the West."
And just in time for Halloween, garage rock duo the Pack A.D. performed their new, frightening single "Haunt You," as well as "Hear Me Out." Exclaim! also had the chance to interview the Pack A.D. who are currently touring to promote their fourth album Unpersons.
Coming soon to Exclaim! TV is an interview with the charming Dan Mangan, a performance by the innovative band Tera Melos and numerous highlights from the Bloor Ossington Folk Festival featuring METZ, Cancer Bats, Julie Doiron and more. Also don't forget to check Exclaim! TV for Yukon Blonde's "Choices" video and a new band interview, which you can see on Thursday (November 3).
