Farflung

Perhaps the elite of modern psych bands out of North America, Farflung takes what was great about Lemmy-era Hawkwind, early Pink Floyd and Joy Division and filters it through some visceral garage punk. 9 Pin Body is a collection of unreleased material spanning from 1998 to 2002, and is by no means just a receptacle of so-so songs - you'll find fury, expansive psychedelic trips, grinding and shredding rock chugs, piercing punk attacks and echoing vocals from the realm of psychosis. Farlung produce calm, introspective, extroverted and fourth dimensional music all at the same time, which is worthy of a mark of genius.
