Eyedress

'Hearing Colors' (mixtape)

Get ready for an earful of lavender-tinted soundscapes, because Manila-based electronic pop producer Eyedress (a.k.a. Idris Vicuña) is raising his profile with the release of a chilled-out new mixtape of synesthetic proportions dubbed Hearing Colors.

Prepped entirely in his Quezon City bedroom, the 12-song Hearing Colors was crafted using a hand-me-down laptop loaded up with the Fruity Loops program. Throughout its runtime, you'll hear softened vocal patterns flutter above the dense bass pulse of otherwise floaty electro track "My Hologram," the flurry of explosive faux hi-hat hits and gothic harp-styled textures of "Biolumine," or the Vaseline-slathered smoothness of '80s dream pop exploration "Mountbatten."
