Delivered in a calm almost spoken flow, Eye + Eye's ruminations aren't informed from digging in a thesaurus but come across as genuine convictions. "Love.Life.Music" comes off as a mission statement and given his diasporic influences and willingness to draw on his background with African percussion to his work, this single is just a starting point. Eye + Eye's embracing of positivity may be reminiscent of early '90s hip-hop, but on the evidence presented there's plenty of future promise.
