When L.A. noise punk outfit Mika Miko broke up back in 2009, they cited scheduling difficulties as the reason for the split and said that there was no bad blood. Clearly, there's no animosity between sisters Jessica and Jennifer Clavin, since they still play together in the new band Bleached and have a new single on the way.
The duo's new single is called "Searching Through the Past," and it will come out on seven-inch vinyl through Suicide Squeeze Records. You can check out the charmingly poppy punk tune over at Spin and buy a copy of the single starting December 6.
This is Bleached's third seven-inch so far in 2011. They previously released the Francis EP through Ooga Booga and Carter through Art Fag Recordings. In other words, if you had forgotten about these sisters since Mika Miko broke up, now might be the time to catch up.
Don't be surprised if they keep up their prolific pace, since singer Jennifer told SanDiego.com [via Brooklyn Vegan], "We have a lot of songs that actually aren't recorded yet."
Bleached are currently in the midst of a lengthy U.S. tour but have no Canadian dates booked. See their schedule at their official blog.
