Rather than signal the end of it all, the newly announced signing of Enabler to iconic heavy music imprint Century Media marks a new beginning for the Ohio-based thrash-hardcore hybridists.
News of the deal arrived today (September 19), confirming that the act have been brought under the Century Media umbrella, with the label describing the band as "one of the most honest, pissed off, and heartfelt metallic hardcore bands around today."
The signing comes just a couple of months after Enabler released their apocalypse-anticipating, Compound Records-issued La Fin Absolue Du Monde, which Exclaim! praised for its "melo-death riffing....and crushing beat-downs." The band had also previously issued material via Southern Lord.
Plans have yet to be revealed as to when Enabler will deliver their debut release for Century Media. In related news, though, guitarist/vocalist Jeff Lohrber appears as the drummer on Today Is the Day's upcoming Animal Mother, which Southern Lord issues October 14.
