It's always nice to hear some straight-up power violence, here done up right by Baltimore, MD's Eddie Brock, who have it all: silly name, vocals that literally sound like the Cookie Monster and a super-short seven-inch with songs that alternate between fastcore and grindcore tempos. So, either way, it's speedy and heavy, but it also has a sense of humour (best exemplified in the deadpan song titles ― "I'll B There 4 U" being a particular favourite). There's something about this genre that's about as pure as it gets in extreme music, and here Eddie Brock pay homage to the classics (there's Spazz all over this thing), as well as the grindier, more metal new kids on the block (hello, Weekend Nachos). Recommended, this is seven inches of awesome grinding power violence, no doubt about it, which is also available as a nice digital release of awesome grinding power violence for those of us who can't remember where our records players are.
