The Dodos

"Goodbyes and Endings"

BY Alex HudsonPublished Dec 4, 2014

As Bay Area duo the Dodos prepare to release their album Individ on January 27 through Dine Alone Records/Polyvinyl Records/Morr Music, they have shared another new cut with "Goodbyes and Endings."

In press materials, the band have compared the sound of the new record to that of 2008's breakthrough effort Visiter. That's certainly an accurate representation of "Goodbyes and Endings," which pairs Meric Long's mellow crooning with a raw arrangement of electro-acoustic strums, thundering percussion and bright instrumental breaks.
