One of these days we're going to have to stop calling Divine Fits a supergroup and just label them as, well, a group. But since the act, made up of members of Spoon, Handsome Furs and the New Bomb Turks, pooled their resources together to whip up last year's A Thing Called Divine Fits and singer/guitarist Britt Daniel is up to some backyard swimming in the clip for album opener "My Love Is Real," we just couldn't help but bring up the connection.
Like we mentioned, the Alexa Gerrity-directed video has a white-on-white-adorned Daniel and other members practising their strokes in slow-mo. Dan Boeckner spends most of his time throughout the clip singing the emotionally devastating song ("My love is real... until it stops") deadpan into a camera lens, but he can't help but take a dip himself. However, it looks as if he should've strapped on some water wings on his way in.
