After releasing a series of limited-edition (and now sold-out) singles this past year, androgynous Toronto, ON diva Diamond Rings has annoucned that he will release his debut studio album this October.
The record, which we previously reported was titled Special Affections, will drop October 26 in North America courtesy of Secret City Records.
It took Diamond Rings (aka D'Urbervilles' John O'Regan) just a year to go from a novel, sometimes-alienating onstage force to beloved Toronto scene staple. But for those who saw him live, it took only a song or two to be won over. Diamond Rings' mix of fashion, drama, wry lyrics, thumping rhythms and his unmistakeable baritone have been more than enough reason to win over new fans.
Two of O'Regan's most recent three singles, "Wait & See" and "All Yr Songs," will be featured on Special Affections, along with eight new songs. The album tracklist, along with Diamond Rings' upcoming tour dates, are below.
