Deathdealer

Demo

Yup, Demo. And it sounds like one ― those drums sound humorously like a bad drum machine, but not because they're processed and triggered to high hell, but because they just sound funny and weird. Not sure why a label is now reissuing this 2009 demo from the Brazilian band, but I can certainly dig where the group are coming from. Here, the six-song demo comes equipped with one bonus track, for the Deathdealer completists out there. We joke, but there's nothing to not like about this act, as these guys know the grim side of thrash and early death, as this has tons of Celtic Frost, Venom and first album Voivod influences. The relentless mid- to fast stomp of "Blood Runs" captures the '80s vibe nicely, while the rest of the demo whips past in faster fashion. There's no melody to be found on this demo, nothing but one-dimensional, old school worshipping pure, cold, grim, old thrash trash. The cover art revealed itself in iTunes as being an unfolded cassette insert. I think you get the drift.
