Death Valley Driver

'Graveyard Dead' (album stream)

Hailing from Charlottetown, PEI, Death Valley Driver will release their sophomore album Graveyard Dead on June 4 via Diminished Fifth Records, but you can give it a listen right now.

The new record follows up their 2011 debut Choke the River, which our reviewer described as "solid from start to finish." Graveyard Dead was engineered by Dave Skinner and mastered by Billy Anderson (the Melvins, Neurosis).

The forthcoming LP pays homage to the classic metal acts that inspired the group. According to a press release, the new tracks "keep the aggression of modern metal, while mixing it with the attitude and testosterone of classic acts like Kiss, AC/DC, Black Sabbath and Motörhead."

Blending older influences with their unique East Coast take on swamp metal, Death Valley Driver will be taking the new material on the road for a handful of Canadian dates. Get the tour details here and hit play below to hear the new album in its entirety.
