Death Threat/Over My Dead Body

Death Threat/Over My Dead Body

Another punchy release from Bridge Nine, a label that seems intent on bringing back '80s hardcore with a vengeance. First up is Connecticut's Death Threat with three metal-tinged moshy numbers that will have the hooded sweatshirt set waving their fists in the air. They cover the Chain Of Strength song "Best Of Times." San Diego's Over My Dead Body also turn in three songs. The first, "Broken Backs," is an old-style tune in the style of Youth Of Today. "Always And Forever" is a mid-tempo number with female back-ups. "No Class" is a Reagan Youth cover, which they pull off quite well. This comes in a nice colour sleeve with Pushead-style artwork featuring lots of cool-looking skulls. It's hawd-core, man.
