Death From Above 1979 Add Canadian Dates

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Oct 20, 2011

Earlier this year, beloved raucous rock duo Death From Above 1979 removed themselves from the indie rock afterlife when they reformed to play some gigs across the globe. Fervour for the group hit an all-time high when a riot broke out at last spring's SXSW festival in Austin, and now a few Canadian cities will get to go bananas for the band this November.

Jesse Keeler and Sebastien Grainger will be following up next week's sold-out two-night stand at Toronto's Sound Academy with a trio of performances in Western Canada. The "Romantic Rights" riders will hit up Banff, AB's Wild Bill's on November 18 before making their way to Edmonton the next night (November 19).

The mini-trip wraps up on Monday, November 21 at Vancouver's legendary Commodore Ballroom. While no more Canadian dates have been announced just yet, the band also has an upcoming gig in Brazil in December. You can check the brief schedule below.

UPDATE: Death From Above 1979 have added a second Vancouver show for November 20 at the Commodore.
