We still have some way to go before we're free and clear of the winter months. Fortunately, there will be no shortage of reading material for you to curl up with, as Exclaim!'s March issue is now available across the country. As always, this month's issue is packed with exclusive features about the musicians making waves so far this year, so be sure to pick up a copy and read all of our reviews and interviews with your favourite artists.

Gracing the cover of our March issue are none other than Vancouver-based Dan Mangan + Blacksmith. Our cover feature dives into the minds of Mangan and his band to give you an idea of the mentality they held going into their most recent release, Club Meds, as well as the varying individual influences and musical styles that promtped Mangan to tell us that, "It's not a feel-good record."

This month's Timeline will take you through Sleater-Kinney's extensive career. Read up on the band's story, from Corin Tucker and Carrie Brownstein's young romance to being signed by Kill Rock Stars, from the band's dissolution in 2005 to this year's triumphant return.

We've also got the results of last month's Reader's Poll. Find out who you decided was the best debut artist of 2014, who had the best live performance and which festivals stole your hearts in 2014.

The Horror Master himself, John Carpenter, took this month's Questionnaire. He gives us insight into his debut solo album, Lost Themes, as well as his beef with William Shatner, thoughts on Canadian strip clubs and his love-hate relationship with the Los Angeles Lakers.

This month's Music School gives you a look into Site Sound Studios and the production techniques of Arthur McArthur. The renowned hip-hop producer, who's worked with the likes of Big Boi, Rick Ross, Drake and Pusha T talks about his fondness for acoustic instruments, his approach to producing a wide variety of artists and remaining versatile.

This month's issue features interviews from some of the most noteworthy artists this year. Father John Misty opens up to us about his latest, and most personal record, I Love You, Honeybear and Viet Cong talk about their transitioning identities, and establishing a cohesive sound with their new self-titled LP. We also caught up with Whitehorse to talk about their latest album and how they've embraced rock'n'roll on No Bridge Unburned, as well as Jazmine Sullivan to discuss her return to the R&B world.

We've also got plenty of interviews with artists like Panda Bear, Belle and Sebastian, Jessica Pratt, Ne-Yo and many more. Hit a street box or drop by your local bar or coffee shop to pick up a copy of Exclaim!'s March Issue today, or view the whole issue digitally over on PressReader here.
