As Vancouver singer-songwriter Dan Mangan prepares to release his new album, Being Somewhere, he has announced a short run of acoustic solo shows.
The brief winter outing will hit five cities in the early months of 2023, including three US dates plus Canadian stops in Toronto and Vancouver.
Mangan said, "For shows like this in recent years, I toss out the set list after four or five songs and just take requests and tell stories for a couple of hours. The full band tours will come, but this was a nice way to dip ma chilly winter toes. Pumped."
A presale begins today at 10 a.m. local time (using the code "beingsomewhere"), with tickets going on sale generally tomorrow (September 22) at 10 a.m.
Being Somewhere is out on October 28 through Arts & Crafts.
