Damnation

Ugly artwork, a generic band name, bad band photos and stupid lyrics printed in the booklet set me up for the worst generic punk metal I'd ever heard. What a surprise when 11 tracks of Dwarves meets Misfits-style goodness (at their respectively punk-poppiest) delivered in 19 minutes jumped out and knocked me for a loop. The band is tight and the singer is smooth, making songs like "Fuel Injected Priest" and "Bloodjunkies" almost too nice and pro sounding for a band that's down with some kinda horror-punk shock-rock scene. Kinda dumb, kinda fun, but always very well produced.
