Daft Punk's love of Nile Rodgers and his Chic outfit is no secret. After all, it's arguable that it was everyone's favourite French electro duo who brought Rodgers back into the spotlight by featuring him on their Random Access Memories LP in 2013. Disco icons Chic will soon return with a new album, their first since 1992's Chic-ism, and Daft Punk have contributed a film to the project.
Rodgers announced that the duo made a "touching" film for the album in a tweet, which can be viewed below:
The text in the screenshot reads, "We are sending you this transmission to thank you for all your amazing songs."
A fan asked when the film will be available, and Rodgers replied, "Within the next few weeks."
While details are still scarce, the new Chic album has the working title of It's About Time. A single is expected to drop on March 20.
