Colin Stetson

Stetson is a new Montreal resident, having been lured there by his work with Arcade Fire and Bell Orchestre; his C.V. includes stints with Tom Waits and Antibalas. For his solo saxophone show, he made the most of the physicality of the bass saxophone the musical instrument that most resembles a rocket launcher. Stetsons circular breathing, percussive approach and arpeggiated melodies were entrancing; hes got the trills that thrill.
