Following news of some West Coast shows with the Black Lips, the Coathangers have announced another batch of dates that will have them showing off their impending Suck My Shirt song cycle further out east.
Following the trio's slate of opening spots for the Black Lips, including a stop at Vancouver's Rickshaw Theatre on March 27, they will split off from their hometown buds to link up with Fullerton, CA combo Audacity. This won't be the first time these acts have teamed up, having released a split 7-inch together last year.
As the groups head out east, they will stop at Toronto's Silver Dollar venue on April 14 and the next night at Montreal's Divan Orange. You'll find all of the Coathangers' upcoming tour dates down below.
As previously reported, Suck My Shirt is the wiry Atlanta garage punks' fourth full-length and first since the departure of founding keyboardist Bebe Coathanger (a.k.a. Candice Jones). The 12-song LP, due out March 18 via Suicide Squeeze, is described as mixing Minutemen-styled art-pop with the "jarring guitar riffs, raspy vocals and solid melodic hooks" that have marked previous efforts.
