Chromeo and La Roux Team Up for New Single
The last we heard from La Roux, singer Elly Jackson was claiming that she was done with electro-pop, saying, "The whole genre is so over. It was my thing and I'm bored with it. If I see anything more '80s-themed, I'm going to bust." It's a little surprising, then, that Jackson will be lending her pipes to the new single from Canadian electro-funk duo Chromeo.

The single is for the track "Hot Mess," a version of which appears on Chromeo's recent Business Casual LP. According to Popjustice [via AUX], La Roux added a completely new chorus, which comes in at the 0:46 mark. Click on the embedded video below to listen to the album cut and try to imagine what that new chorus is going to sound like.

There will also reportedly be a video to accompany the track and the single will be out on January 17 in the UK. However, so far there is no word on a North American release date.
