The sound of the Winnipeg-based songwriter might be best described as "What if Little Orphan Annie grew up and found inspiration in an organic, psychedelic lifestyle?” Her tunes are sparse and wordy, occasionally beautiful, especially in heartbreaking, unforgettable tracks "Vertebrae” and "Migrations.” Loopy piano lines evoke Kate Bush in one song and Supertramp in another (a brand new song she played recalled their hit "Dreamer”) but her voice is all her own. Her husband, and Weakerthans lead singer, John Samson joined her for a song before she finished up with an apocalyptic ditty called "Not Wanted On The Voyage.”
