Warp Records' PVT break new ground on their latest album, Church With No Magic, and discuss the ups and downs of the Aussie music scene in an accompanying interview. Hytest have put out Dishing out the Good Times, a grab-bag of punk and rock influences that's anything but dull. And thrash metal band Bonded By Blood has given us their second full-length, Exiled to Earth.
After releasing an album a year for seven years, Black Label Society took a four-year break from recording new material. However, Zakk Wylde and company are finally back with Order of the Black. Also, space rock pioneers Hawkwind have released Blood of the Earth, which you might call a return to form if they had ever abandoned their signature psych style.
Finally, self-described art-rock band Grand Lake have made their full-length debut with Blood Sea Dream.
