Update: Charges Against Gucci Mane Dropped
Yesterday (November 2), we reported trouble-stricken Atlanta, GA rapper Gucci Mane was arrested yet again. The hip-hop star was picked up Tuesday morning on a number of traffic violations, including driving on the wrong side of the road, running a red light or stop sign, damage to government property, obstruction, no licence and no proof of insurance, among other traffic charges. After allegedly resisting arrest, he was pepper sprayed by an off-duty cop before being taken into custody. Frankly, things didn't look good for the MC, who had just been released from prison a couple months prior after a year-long stint in the clink for parole violation. Fortunately for Gucci, today has been very kind to him. All of yesterday's charges have been dropped.

A report from Access Atlanta [via Entertainment Weekly] explains that while Mane spent the night in Fulton County Jail over the fiasco, prosecutors revealed early this morning at a court hearing that "they would not pursue the pending multiple traffic charges or the obstruction allegation."

While this is good news for the rapper, a judge warned Mane that the charges could be refiled.

We're hoping that Gucci Mane can keep out of trouble for the time being to promote his recently released The Appeal: Georgia's Most Wanted. Considering he's been in and out of Fulton County Jail numerous times over the past five years, the odds seem, regrettably, stacked against him.
