Cee Lo Green is already a famed rapper, singer, TV show host and actor, but he will soon have yet another occupation listed on his Wikipedia page: writer. The Gnarls Barkley crooner has signed a book deal with Grand Central Publishing and plans to release a memoir in 2013.
In a statement, Cee Lo said, "FORGET YOU? After reading my book, there will be no doubt that I am meant to be. You will enter into the supernatural, the surreal, and extraordinary. As Cee Lo Green, aka 'everybody's brother,' I will make you a believer. I talk about art imitating life; YOU discover CRAZY."
There's no word as to exactly what "supernatural" and "extraordinary" things he will be writing about, but we're hoping he sheds some light on where he finds his zany outfits, and whether his fellow The Voice hosts Adam Levine and Christina Aguilera actually hate each other like sources such as the New York Post have claimed.
Grand Central Publishing editor-in-chief Beth de Guzman said, "He dresses in sequinned capes, performs with the Muppets and Madonna, and does 360° flips with a grand piano at his fingertips. Imagine all that outrageously unique and creative talent channelled into a book."
We're not entirely convinced that doing flips translates into prosaic style, but it looks as if we'll all find out in 2013 when Cee Lo delivers his as-yet-untitled tome, which will find Rolling Stone scribe David Wild giving the musician a literary hand.
