Cancer Bats To Play Food Benefit In London, ON

BY Dave SynyardPublished Apr 16, 2008

Making donations to food banks is an al-round good cause to help put food in the stomachs of the less fortunate. But sometimes in order to get people out making donations to charity, you gotta give something in return. Knowing that, skate/snowboard equipment and apparel store West 49º is offering some incentive by throwing a gig at their White Oaks Mall location in London, ON featuring metalcore punks Cancer Bats.

Set to take place on Saturday, April 26, the Toronto band will make a short stop in London, taking a small break from touring their sophomore album Hail Destroyer. The guys will be doing an autograph session and then performing an exclusive set that will likely rip the place to shreds. The free signatures start at 2:00 p.m., with the gig following shortly after.

So what's the deal with getting in? Well getting there early would likely be smart, of course, armed with one or more canned food items. And that's it. You get to help a great cause and get to see the Cancer Bats at the lowest price possible. It's total a win win situation.

In other news, Cancer Bats will be crossing the country throughout April and May. Support for all shows will come from Blacklungs, featuring Wade and George of Alexisonfire, members of A Textbook Tragedy and Gone Hollywood. If you want to hit up one of their concerts here are dates:
