Hailing from the land of Richie, Potsie and the Fonz, this weird-core trio would never have been allowed to grace the stage of Arnolds for fear of starting a riot. On their debut, the Milwaukee-based combo deliver an unholy fusion of mid-80s DC post punk, quirky punk of the Minutemen with Jesus Lizard howler David Yow on vocals. And their chugging, snaking bass lines, piercing, angular guitars and jagged drum fills recall the dissonant art rock of early Gang of Four and Talking Heads. Call them inspired.
