"Past the Stars" (video)

Following last year's Organized Accidents, long-running Canadian indie rock outfit By Divine Right are continuing to promote the album with a video for "Past the Stars" and an impending tour.

The clip for this upbeat pop-rock number is filled with trippy visuals, as the band perform in a park in front of some sort of white glowing object. Meanwhile, frontman José Miguel Contreras stands in the blinding sun, and the band members have their faces bizarrely projected onto one another. It was directed by Henry Sansom and James Mejia.

Contreras said in a statement, "'Past the Stars' is about space aliens waiting for them to come and get me and my son. It's also about how being in a touring band is like being space aliens visiting different world and then leaving back into the 'black' between planets between cities. Its title was suggested to me years ago by a little boy i met in Ohio."

As for the tour, the band will be traveling through Ontario with Shotgun Jimmie on his previously announced outing.
