Bruce Dickinson

Scream For Me Brazil

BY Sean PalmerstonPublished Dec 1, 1999

With the reformation of the most famous Iron Maiden line-up earlier this year, vocalist Bruce Dickinson has put his solo career on hold. Dickinson has recently made some of the best music of his career; the proof is captured on Scream for Me Brazil. Recorded live in front of nearly 10,000 rabid fans in Brazil, the record is a stand-alone, balls to the wall live metal album. Kicking off in grandiose style with “Walls of Jericho,” Bruce and his band, including former Maiden guitarist Adrian Smith, rip through a dozen of his solo tracks in quite convincing style. Highlights include “The Tower,” my favourite song from 1998’s The Chemical Wedding and perhaps Bruce’s best song ever.
