Blink-182 Say They've Recorded a New Song with Grimes

Their next release will also feature a long-rumoured collaboration with Pharrell and Lil Uzi Vert

More than just an aging pop-punk band, Blink-182 have spent the last few years proving that they're really a cultural black hole, sucking any- and everything into their angsty abyss. The band recently collaborated with both the Chainsmokers and, posthumously, XXXTentacion, and now they've set a collaboration with none other than Grimes.

The Canadian pop explorer has apparently recorded a new tune with the mall punk lifers, and if that's not enough to mark the end of culture as we know it, then we're not sure what is.

Drummer Travis Barker recently spilled news of the song while appearing on the Rock This podcast. "There's a lot of cool stuff," he said of the band's follow-up to 2019's NINE.  "There's like a song with Grimes right now that's really, really cool that I love."

He also confirmed that the band's long-rumoured collaboration with Pharrell and Lil Uzi Vert is still on the table for the next release.

"I don't think Blink will ever be anything but a pop-punk band," Travis added. "I mean, that's who we are. And I feel like our fans have kind of journeyed with us when we've done songs like 'Miss You' or ballads like 'Adam's Song.'"
