Cali rapper Blame One has been soaking his feet in hip-hop for almost 20 years and somehow, Days Chasing Days is only his debut album. No matter. The MC hungrily raps as if someone is trying to take away his microphone. Dictionally, he stickhandles around myriad alliterations and polysyllables like he's dekeing out the beat. Luckily, the beats are just as crafty, what with the hands-on help of producer Exile and to a lesser extent, OH NO and Black Milk. Blame One has put out a very strong debut that hardly ever lags. Admirably, he's honest and humble; his humility builds until the last track, in which he relays his childhood vividly, hence the title, "Documentarian."
