Black Milk

"Gold Piece" (ft. Bun B)

Motor City MC/producer Black Milk may have made a Faustian Bargain to make "Gold Piece," the latest single to sneak out ahead of the official release of his underworld-exploring If There's a Hell Below LP.

Rolling out with the bass-bustling bump and falsetto vocal harmonies of a retro soul sample, the cut gets Black Milk pouring his soul into a verse about growing up sticking to the alleys instead of attending pep rallies. UGK vet Bun B also pops in with some bars of his own, while a freaky blur of high-speed woodwinds suggest Paganini took up the pan flute to help Black Milk on the track.

If There's a Hell Below crawls out from the depths of the Devil's lair and into retailers October 28 through Black Milk's own Computer Ugly imprint.
