After headlining NXNE in Toronto last summer, Big Freedia will now return to the provincial capital in June as part of Pride Toronto.
The New Orleans icon will headline the event's Blockorama party on June 23 when she'll be joined by Grammy Award-winner Mýa. The long-running party will be held at the festival's Bud Light Wellesley Stage, located on the titular street between Yonge and Church streets.
Running from June 21 to 23, Pride Toronto's festival weekend will also feature performances by TR/ST (DJ set), Nakhane, R&B songwriter Tweet, DJ Venus X, drag stars Brook Lynn Hytes and Pablo Vittar and many more.
A newly added DJ Station will also feature a crop of Toronto-based spinners and DJ collectives performing throughout the weekend, including Regina Gently, Raven's Vision, Chippy Nonstop's Intersessions, Balls Deep Disco, Derykah Badu and more.
