This fall, Portland. OR-based artist Benoît Pioulard will drop a new album of out-there compositions and ambient songwriting called Lasted. The album is due on October 11 via Kranky, but those who can't wait can enjoy live versions of four tracks courtesy of Circle Into Square.
The label has just launched a "sessions series," where they film some of their favourite artists performing songs in unique locations. The first in the series features Pioulard at the Willamette waterfront in Portland, where he performs new tracks "Shouting Distance," "Tie," "RTO" and "A Coin on the Tongue".
