Vancouver-based Baptists spinoff Depressing released their album Life Just Gets Worse back in March, but this will evidently be the group's swan song, since they've announced that they're calling it a day.
The hardcore trio will perform for the last time tomorrow (November 29) at the Astoria in Vancouver.
"We didn't jam for four months and just didn't talk about our future or anything," singer-guitar Andrew Drury told the Georgia Straight.
He cited the members' other band commitments as the reason for the split, saying, "It seems like each one of us has a band that's more important than Depressing. We'd like to put more effort into those."
The band released two albums: 2011's seven-song self-titled affair and Life Just Gets Worse. Fans who show up for tomorrow night's gig at the Astoria will receive a vinyl copy of the latter collection in exchange for the $10 cover. Baptists and Expression of Pain are also on the bill.
