Though they started off as a Vivian Girls and Woods side-project, New York unit the Babies are becoming more of a full-time band. Following this year's twelve-inch demos set Cry Along with the Babies and after beefing up from a duo to a quartet, the band are issuing a new seven-inch teasing their upcoming LP Our House on the Hill. You can stream album track "Moonlight Mile," which serves as the single's A-side, now.
Despite the similar title, the Babies' new cut doesn't play like the Stones' slow-rolling classic. Instead, it offers up shambolic garage rock organs and six-string jangle that gleefully underscore Kevin Morby's hazy drawl.
The "Moonlight Mile" single arrives August 14 through Woodsist, and features the exclusive B-side "Places." A release date has yet been set for Our House on the Hill.
