Azealia Banks Titles New Album

Last month, buzzed-about Harlem rapper Azealia Banks celebrated when she inked a deal with Universal. It doesn't come as too much of a surprise, then, that she has announced plans to release her debut album later this year.

Speaking with Nylon Magazine, she revealed that the album will be called Broke with Expensive Taste and that it will be coming out in September.

"The theme is a young girl trying to find it," she explained. Find what you ask? "Success! Herself! Her path! The young girl trying to make it! That girl who's at the end of her childhood trying to get a job and make some money, you know? She needs to get what she can get! She needs to go out there and show people she knows how to work for it."

For now, that's pretty much all we know about the new record, but she previously told Pitchfork that she would be heading to London to work with Grammy-winning producer Paul Epworth (Adele, Florence and the Machine).

"It's not just me rapping over beats," she said." I want to make it sound polished, because a lot of my shit that's out sounds kind of bootleg."

Stay tuned for further updates.
