It was a huge year for viral rapper turned actor Awkwafina, who had a breakout role in Crazy Rich Asians and hosted Saturday Night Live. Now, her rise to fame will be explored in a new Comedy Central series.
Simply called Awkwafina, the 10-episode series will follow a "twenty-something living in Queens, striving for a larger than life existence while living with her father and grandmother."
In addition to Awkwafina, Comedy Central has also ordered Robbie, a new series from comedian Rory Scovel.
Stay tuned for release dates on the new shows as they become available.
