Well, it's purely on a "you have to hear this basis" because Canada's biggest export since Doug Henning perform their cathartic anthem with none other than the Thin White Ziggy himself. Yeah, so it doesn't sound much different, but it's the principle of Bowie being there singing a verse of Canadiana that makes this worthwhile. Plus, the performance was for charity.
