In a little more than a week from now, Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger will both host and perform on Saturday Night Live's season finale on May 19. If you weren't excited about it, you might be about to change your mind, since the performance has got a whole lot better thanks to some help from the younger generation.
Entertainment Weekly reports that Jagger will be joined on stage by Foo Fighters and Arcade Fire. It's not clear how many members of each band will appear, or exactly what they will be contributing, but we're pretty curious to find out.
This is hardly the first time that members of Foo Fighters and Arcade Fire have performed with classic rock icons: Foos frontman Dave Grohl has appeared on stage with everyone from Paul McCartney to Jimmy Page, while Arcade Fire have performed with David Bowie and Bruce Springsteen.
Tune in next week to see how this one plays out.
