While last week beloved indie rockers Arcade Fire announced they would be playing a massive free outdoor show at Pop Montreal on September 22 to celebrate the fest's tenth anniversary, the band have just revealed they will also be playing another gig in their hometown the night before. Though the show at the place des Festivals of Quartier des Spectacles will be free for all, the newly announced concert will be a more intimate and, consequently, paid affair.
The band will play Montreal's Metropolis on September 21. To curb ticket scalping, the event is being put on as a paperless ticket show. Lucky fans who nab tickets, selling for $45 plus fees, to the small gig must bring the credit card used for purchase and an extra piece of ID to the club to get in.
Unfortunately, Pop Montreal patrons cannot get into the gig using their festival passes. Tickets go on sale this Friday (August 12) via Ticketmaster.
