With his Jimi Hendrix biopic set to premiere at TIFF, it's understandable that Outkast rapper André 3000 has been too busy to work on new music as of late. That just might change next year, however, as the rapper is rumoured to be dropping a new album.
Details are scarce and, unfortunately, fairly speculative at this point. However, over the weekend, BET's president of programming Stephen Hill ran into Andre backstage at a Lil Wayne, T.I. and 2 Chainz show.
Hill tweeted their conversation:
Me: hey what's up? You got the movie coming,right? Andre 3000: yeah...and I got a solo album coming top of the year. Me:*droptofloor*
That's all we really know, but if he does release a new album, it'll mark his first solo effort since 2003's The Love Below.
