Finnish death metal greats Amorphis will follow up their recent Circle LP with the first-ever vinyl pressing of their classic Privilege of Evil EP.
A press release confirms that Relapse will serve up the vinyl slab August 21 on standard black wax, as well as in limited-edition pressings on silver, clear and white wax. Pre-orders for all versions but the clear are being taken over here.
Though Privilege of Evil was issued as a CD in 1993, the six-song set culled material found on their Disment of Soul demo tape and the "Vulgar Necrolatry" / "Misery Path" 7-inch. The tracks were recorded at Stratovarious member Timo Tolkki's TTT Studio in 1991 and are described as "being the most primeval, brutal material the band has ever released."
You can sample the decadent and detuned title track, which jumps from hyper-speed grind to symphony-synth gloom, down below
Privilege of Evil:
1. Pilgrimage from Darkness
2. Black Embrace
3. Privilege of Evil
4. Misery Path
5. Vulgar Necrolatry
6. Excursing from Existence
